Grant Allen

Chairman

Grant started OMF with his father, Dr. Robert C. Allen, a renowned eye surgeon, in 2003 and today leads its mission and vision. An avid technologist, Grant created all of the tools that OMF uses today.

Beyond OMF, Grant is an energy technology investor. As a venture capitalist, he is SVP and co-U.S. lead of ABB Technology Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of ABB Ltd. (NYSE: ABB). Previously, he was Vice President of Core Capital Partners, a $350 million venture capital fund in Washington, D.C.; and before that with Microsoft Corporation.

Grant received an engineering degree with honors from Duke University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. He is also involved with a number of other charitable entities, including FareShare, a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) that donates used Metro cards to homeless veterans.

Jo Hunter

Founder, One Two Buckle My Shoe

Jo has a deep background in health care and technology and is currently founding a new media content company focused on interactive applications for children. Most recently, she was Chief of Staff for NJVC, a Virginia-based provider of information technology and strategic solutions targeting the intelligence, military and federal agencies, as well as commercial entities with highly secure IT requirements. Before that, she was Corporate Director, Physician Relations and Physician Liaison Director for Valley Health Systems. Jo is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Geof Stiff

President, International Cooperating Ministries

He is former senior vice president for the Retirement and Protection segment of Genworth Financial in Richmond, VA, and brings to the OMF Board more than 35 years of experience in finance, management and product development. A former CPA, CFO and insurance executive, he is also an innovator of financial products and has numerous patents pending. He has served ICM as a board member since 2006 and as chair for the Finance Committee since 2007. He serves as an Elder at Third Presbyterian Church in Richmond.

Janice Allen, M.S.N.

Executive Chair, International Cooperating Ministries

Janice brings a wealth of non-profit leadership experience to OMF, based much in part on her time shapring the growth, strategy and fundraising at ICM, a non-denominational philanthropy active in over 50 countries. She has been involved with planning, development, and operations in the U.S. and abroad for over ten years. Janice is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Duke University. She served as an Oncology Clinical Specialist, organizing a home care hospice program in Gainesville, Florida and later was on the faculty of the Nursing School at Boston University.
